Advisory Board Alexander (Sandy) Bracken - Former Executive Director of the Board, Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado at Denver, School of Business; 19th President of the University of Colorado; former Vice President of Public Affairs with Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. The Arts Advisory Board (AAB) is a voluntary board whose role is to oversee the Princess Grace Awards program. Members are experts, practitioners and leaders in their artistic fields; at the Princess Grace Foundation they work alongside the PGF-USA staff develop funding that is responsive to the needs of the artistic community. Arts for Art Board of Directors Todd Nicholson is the Executive Director and AFA Board member. From 1998 thru his joining AFA as director in 2015, he worked as a bassist with Billy Bang, Steve Swell, Roy Campbell, Satoko Fuji, Michiyo Yagi and Keisuke Ohta among others. The Arts Advisory Board will support the vision for arts and culture across the municipality and provide strategic input and independent advice to Council. We are looking for three Board Members who have demonstrated experience, expertise or commitment in performing arts or arts/cultural activities.

Elected annually by our membership, council members are national leaders who give back to the field by connecting the national work of Americans for the Arts to our members’ work on the local level.
